Trained in France at the Museé du Louvre his knowledge of the 18th French Decorative arts was renowned. He was specifically recognized for his discerning eye for French Furniture and Porcelain. He later paid homage to the Louvre with several important donations to their collection and was granted France’s highest civilian award for his generosity.
