Event Description

Smithsonian Craft Show Artist Shops - Christina M Vincent by Christina Vincent
Process + Intent My mission is to create innovative pieces coupled with artistic applications while highlighting the beauty of natural wood. I intend for each piece to be versatile; useful and lasting, while intriguing interest and engagement. Designed and crafted beautifully to live beautifully. Each piece is handmade in a small scale wood studio. I strive to use a palette of native hardwoods. Every piece of rough timber is hand selected for its unique qualities such as color, pattern, and texture. Embracing the unique characters and colors of each material is an integral part of design. I draw my inspiration from the vast beauty of nature that surrounds me. This inspiration can be seen in the angles, tapers, and design details but also in the joinery, how each piece of wood meets to create form. These unique details make each piece truly original to enjoy for years to come. https://www.christinamvincent.com/ I am one of 100 artists selected to be part of the prestigious Smithsonian Craft Show, hosted this year on Bidsquare. To learn more and see the full list of participating artists, click here. Care Each piece of furniture is handcrafted and designed to provide years of satisfaction and dependability. I primarily use American hardwoods in my designs, and the wood finishes applied, provide a durable protective coating. To clean simply dust with a soft dry cotton cloth. Proper care ensures a lifetime of use from your furniture. Never use solvent-based cleaners. Never set wet objects or oven-hot objects directly on wood surfaces as it may harm the finish and the piece itself . Re-applying furniture wax is recommended depending on amount of use 1-2 times a year. Delivery + Returns Items can be shipped domestically and internationally, please contact me for a quote. Each piece is handmade and all are unique. When purchasing a piece from the collection a thorough description, measurements, and images are available to aid in your purchasing decision. For questions or more information please contact me and I will be happy to further assist. For this reason we do not offer returns for any reason other than shipping damage. Contact us within 72 hours of package receipt to make a damage claim. Should visual inspection upon the receipt of a shipment show damage, do not accept the shipment. Damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and signed by both you and the driver. Commission I create many custom pieces each year, every piece is unique. If you are interested by my style but need specific measurements or a wood species to match your home, I am happy to work with you in customizing your order. Commissions are made to order and are not returnable. A non refundable deposit is required for all commissioned pieces and will be credited to your order upon payment. Read more
