The Friedman Collection of Contemporary Glass and Artwork by Wolfs Gallery
BIDDING TIPS

Don’t wait until the last few minutes to bid!

While many people’s instinct is to wait until the end of a bidding cycle to compete, the longer you wait the greater the risk. Bidsquare is a great platform and does try to accommodate last minute bidders but don’t gamble if you really want to own the item you are bidding on. Put in your “max” bid well before the lot closes.

When you are bidding on multiple items it is easiest to follow the sale and bid from the main catalog page. If you do bid from the detail page use your browsers back button to return to the main catalog page to continue following the auction.

The family’s goal is to sell this collection with minimal protection. The estimates which you will find on the detail page (click on the item to view the detail page) are well below market value and the starting bids are well below the estimates. The starting bid is the opening bid; there are no other reserves in this auction.

Remember if you are bidding when lots start closing the max bid software is your safest means of bidding and it is confidential and bid competitively.

Bidding increments:
$0 - $100 by $10
$100 - $500 by $25
$500 - $1,000 by $50
$1,000 – $2,000 by $100
$2,000 - $3,000 by $200
$3,000 - $5,000 by $250
$5,000 - $10,000 by $500
$10,000 - $20,000 by $1,000
$20,000 - $50,000 by $2,000
$50,000 + by $5,000

There is an 18% buyers premium and a 2% credit card fee for credit cards.
