Bronze, ca.1900s. A naturalistic scene of two hunting dogs, a short hair pointer and a Irish setter, the setter claiming the rabbit kill. The dogs and rabbit are separate castings attached to the detailed topographical top of the scotia edged base. "Arson" signature is a cast in feature. Engraved "Concours de Biarritz 1900", a reference to a horse show or competition held in Biarritz, France, mostly likely an event for the aristocracy, who favored the town for it's beaches and thermal baths.
