• Lot Description
  An artist's interpretation of a story from Mythology. Dionysus carries Ampelos, returning him to the care of the nymphs of Nysa, who were entrusted by Zeus, to care for the young god. A muscular Hermes stands on a plain hollow cast base, held fast with studs from the bottom. Early multi piece construction, with a dark green/black patina. No signature observed.

  Very slight age wear, very good overall.
