• Lot Description
  A group of two decorative boxes, each finely enameled with hand-painted figural scenes in the Rococo style. The larger rectangular compact depicts a pastoral gathering with maidens and shepherds within a richly enameled turquoise and cobalt border accented by gilt scrollwork and floral devices, 3" x 2-1/4". The smaller lipstick case features a courting couple in a garden terrace setting, with enamel panels framed by gilt metal mounts and a turquoise cabochon thumbpiece, 2-1/4"L. Both display vivid colors and fine detail characteristic of Continental enamel work.
