• Lot Description
  A large, traditional nativity set comprising a wooden stable with a straw-covered roof, together with an extensive group of hand-painted figurines. The scene centers on the Holy Family—Mary, Joseph, and the Christ Child—surrounded by the Three Wise Men, shepherds with sheep, and assorted animals including a donkey, cow, and both single- and double-humped camels. Additional figures include an angel suspended above the manger and a drummer boy approaching with a gift. Mostly German, some pieces from other countries. <br> Ceramic finished in vibrant polychrome paints and set on green bases. The stable features rough-hewn posts and natural straw packing to simulate bedding.

  Flaking throughout to paint, some scattered chips and losses, prior repairs to figures throughout.
