- Lot Description
A spectacular interpretation of the famed sculpture of Poseidon of Artemision, created by Meredith Rambo (1952 - 2024) in her home studio and offered in a fine art gallery in Marietta, Georgia. The sculpture is mounted on a metal support anchored in a wood block.
Our attribution of the figure to Poseidon is somewhat arbitrary as scholars also contend that the figure is Zeus.
Though unsigned, we can provide a letter of authenticity describing the circumstances of acquisition by our consignor.
