.60 caliber smooth bore, 9 1/8" round iron barrel with London commercial proofs at breech. Flat, bevelled iron lock with teat at rear, flat goose neck cock and rounded, unbridled pan. Lock marked in two lines: KETLAND / & Co. Brass mounts with open work side plate and wrist escutcheon. Walnut stock, with nicely carved apron around tang, wooden ram rod.
Fair to good. Metal with a lightly cleaned pewter patina and scattered surface discoloration. Lock functional, frizzen spring broken. Stock cracked through the forend. Ramrod replaced. A nice Ketland pistol worthy of repair to restore it to its former glory.
