12 gauge, 30" barrel, S/N 1922215. The barrel features the typical Winchester markings, with relief inlaid gold ducks in flight on either side of the breech. The right panel of the frame features a beautifully detailed relief engraving of the Grand American Amateur Trap Association headquarters in Vandalia, Ohio. The panel also features a relief engraved duck landing on a pond, surrounded by detailed foliate scrollwork in the classic Griebel style. The left panel features beautiful relief engraving, depicting a landscape featuring mountains, a pond, trees, cattails, three ducks in flight, a retriever holding a duck and a woman holding a shotgun. The scene is surrounded by detailed foliate scrollwork. In addition to the gold inlay on the barrel, the top of the frame features an inlaid gold eagle swooping in on an inlaid gold duck in flight. The scene is surrounded by relief foliate scrollwork, which adorns the top of the entire frame. The underside of the trigger guard features relief gold inlay spelling McLallen. The underside of the frame is marked Engr. By A. Griebel above the serial number. The burl pistol grip stock and forearm feature superb fleur-de-lis and open work checkering. The underside of the butt features a gold inlaid thumbprint with engraved initials RGM. This shotgun is an absolute work of art. Exhibition quality.
