A set of Ballard long range sights, housed in a black leather case bearing the Ballard name and decorative bands in gold leaf. The interior is lined with fitted merlot velvet compartments for the tang sight base and screws, the long range peep sight, an extra peep disk, four front sight discs, windgauge front sight with spirit level and a windgauge sight base. Missing one base screw.
A nearly identical cased set can be found on page 289 of John T. Dutcher's book, Ballard; The Great American Single Shot Rifle. This set is more complete than the one pictured.
Excellent retaining most of the original bright blue finish. Case is excellent with a few very minor scuffs. One of the base screws is missing. Overall excellent.
