The original 15th c. charger after which this is modeled is in the Getty Museum, Malibu, California. See: Monti, La Maiolica Cantagalli e le Maniffature Ceramiche Fiorentine, p. 45, figs. 54 and 55 illustrating the working drawing for the design of a near identical charger.
