Noel Rockmore was a prolific American painter and draftsman best known for his vivid depictions of New Orleans' bohemian culture and his "Preservation Hall" jazz series. Born to renowned artist parents in New York, he produced over 15,000 works throughout his career, ranging from gritty realism to surrealism. His work is celebrated for its technical mastery and remains a cornerstone of 20th-century Southern art.
