A Chinese 'Hare's Fur' Glazed Jian Tea Bowl
POSSIBLY SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
with deep sides rising to an indented rim, overall covered with a lustrous dark brown glaze with cascading russet 'hare's fur' streaks, the glaze pooling unevenly above the foot to reveal the dark brown stoneware body underneath.
Diam 3 5/8 in., 9.2 cm.
Overall in good condition with expected general wear to the surface and minor firing imperfections. The mouth rim has a few minor pits.
