Three Hardstone Brush Washers
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the first a carnelian agate example, carved to the exterior in high relief showing a bird on leafy vines, the second an agate example, in the form of a large lotus leaf, carved to the side showing a frog and lotus springs, the third a quartz example, in the form of a shell, carved to the interior with a frog and a gold fish.
Longest: length 5 in., 13 cm.
