| 18B. COLIN MOORE '08 Sisters, 2006, Edition 3 of 3 Bronze and glass 35 x 20 x 8 $9,850 Courtesy of the artist |
|
Colin Moore studied at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, earning a BFA in Sculpture, and completed his graduate studies with an MFA from New York Academy of Art. His work is currently on exhibit at Sher Gallery in Hallandale, FL. His work is held in the collections of the Seven Bridges Foundation, Christopher Tosi Collection, Town of Scituate, and Victoria National Golf Course.
Artist's Description:
“Sisters” is a compelling example of functional art, where sculpture and design meet in a single, elegant form. Two elongated, acrobatic figures rise in mirrored balance as they lift a glass top skyward — an expression of connection, strength, and grace.
Finished with a silver nitrate patina and topped with ultra-clear Starphire glass, this piece is both sculpture and table. “Sisters is a striking fusion of movement and design.
