Juan José Barboza-Gubo (Peru, 1976) earned two MFAs in Painting and Sculpture from MassArt. His work has been featured in solo exhibitions at institutions such as Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Peru), Museo de la Memoria (Peru), Museo Colonial Bogotá (Colombia), Praise Shadows Gallery among others. He has received the Brother Thomas Fellowship (2025) and the Artadia Boston Award (2023).
