- Lot Description
Striking Art Deco-style compote featuring a thick, round mottled slag glass bowl in warm amber-orange with smoky blue, gray, and milky white inclusions throughout. The bowl sits within a hand-forged hammered metal stand with a circular rim, scrolled side supports, ribbed central stem, and a hammered round foot, giving the piece a strong decorative arts look. The glass has an attractive marbled, translucent quality with visible age-related surface scratches, scuffs, and minor wear, while the metal frame shows oxidation, patina, and handmade irregularities consistent with age and use. A small chip or flake is visible along the upper rim area of the glass, shown in the close-up photographs. An eye-catching display piece suitable as a centerpiece, fruit bowl, or decorative accent for Arts & Crafts, Art Deco, or eclectic interiors. Condition is antique/vintage with expected wear, patina, and imperfections as photographed. Approx. dimensions (in): 8.25 x 10.75 x 10.75.
