- Lot Description
A framed Joyce Zavorskas (Massachusetts, 1945-) monotype titled “Corn Hill,” signed and dated 1993 in pencil along the lower margin. The work depicts a quiet Cape Cod coastal scene with dune grasses, sandy paths, and a row of weathered cottages with blue roofs, rendered in soft atmospheric tones. The lower margin is inscribed “monotype,” titled “Corn Hill,” and signed “Zavorskas 93.” The reverse retains an artist biography label describing Zavorskas’s printmaking background and monotype process, along with a prior gallery tag from The Nelson Gallery Ltd. in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Presented under matting in a gilt wood frame, this piece has a classic Cape Cod subject and strong decorative appeal. Condition appears good overall with light wear to the frame and backing consistent with age. Approx. frame size (in): 19.5 x 21.5 x 0.75, Approx painting size (in): 10.75 x 13.
