Included in this lot is an 1878 Dutch Beaumont sporterized bolt action rifle. This rifle was manufactured by P. Stevens of Maastricht which was contracted to produce the majority of Beaumont rifles. The rifle was sporterized after its military life. This gun features a gorgeous walnut stock with birds eye maple accent. This firearm utilizes a 33" blue'd barrel chambered in 11mm. The barrel has a fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. The walnut stock is checkered underneath the pistol grip and on the fore grip. The butt stock has a hard rubber butt pad made by White Line. The barrel is stamped with Dutch proof marks and "1878." The left side of the receiver is marked "P. Stevens - Maastricht."
