Three volumes. 330; 309; 312 pp. Original publisher's boards, printed paper labels on spines, later endleaves. FIRST EDITION. "The personal visits of the author to various tribes of [Native Americans], and oral information obtained by him from others, afford us much interesting matter concerning them." (Field 819). Howes K75. Sabin 37358.
Condition
Bindings worn, soiled, scuffed, ffeps. chipped and torn, library bookplates and labels on fps., embossed library stamps on title-pages, text toned (occasionally unevenly), occasional foxing, thumbsoiling. Good.
