- Lot Description
Anna Ehrner (Born 1948) Swedish, Kosta Boda "Olivia" Five-Sided Crystal Vase. The star-shaped pattern, with scalloped sides, was first conceived by Ehrner in the early 1980s for the company. Signed on the underside.
Size: 4 1/2 x 7 1/8 in.
Anna Ehrner was born in 1948 in Danderyd, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. She studied ceramics at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack), where she also began teaching later on in life. In 1974 she joined Kosta Boda, with several of her glass patterns like Contrast and Line becoming some of their best-selling designs. She continues to make new pieces for the company, having won the Swedish Glass Competition in 1983 and awarded the Excellent Swedish Form Award in 1992 and 1994.
