Model: Showa Field Officer's Katana (dated 1944)
Blade Length: 26.25 in.
OAL: 37.5 in. (40.5 in. w/ saya)
Condition: Good; oil quenched blade has light wear & scratches w/ few nicks near tip; Ito (wrapping) coming loose near the center and has dark patina; rayskin is worn w/ patina & peeling; saya has wear commensurate w/ age
Includes: brown painted steel saya; "X III" marked fittings; Menuki (triple cherry blossoms) on both sides of tsuka under Ito (wrapping); rayskin on tsuka under Ito; nice fittings
