Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century. A red yixing zisha teapot of flattened cylindrical form with bamboo form c shaped handle to one end opposed by downturned spout also in bamboo form, the top surface of body decorated iwth incised calligraphic marks, and the round lid with articulating c shaped bamboo form finial to center flanked by two incised bamboo leaf clusters. Marked to interior of lid with two sets of calligraphic marks within squared cartouches, and to underside of body with impressed four calligraphic mark. Overall approximately 3.75" tall, 8.125" spout to handle.
Excellent condition with no signs of cracks, chips, nicks or repairs. Light wear to bottom commensurate with age and light shelf use.
