Biography: Angelo Dall'oca Bianca was an Italian painter who studied under Napoleone Nani at the Cignaroli Academy in Verona from 1873–1876. At the same time, Bianca attended an act course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. The meeting with Giacomo Favretto had a clear impact on his early work, which shifted towards salon genre painting. After 1880, Angel Dall'oca Bianca turned to naturalism, which was influenced by his contact with Francesco Paolo Michetti during his stay in Rome in 1882. He began to present his works at the most important national and European exhibitions, enjoying great popularity among both the public and critics. Participation in the Universal Exposition in Paris in 1900 coincided with the adoption of elements borrowed from divisionism and symbolism. He later began to paint cityscapes with bright colors and bold contrasts.
