The Moeris watch company was a greatly respected and innovative firm. Founded by Fritz Moeri and Julius Frederic Jeanneret in Saint Imier in 1883, the company was among the first to make chronograph movements for wristwatches in 1910 and was instrumental in the development of Invar for balance springs. Moeris was acquired by Tissot in 1970. The present watch is a beautiful chronograph will silvered dial and Arabic numerals, exceptionally well maintained.
Condition
The dial in very nice condition with some wear around the outer edge near the tachymeter scale and two small spots visible under 10x loupe near the "7" hour marker. The hands in excellent condition. Case likely unpolished and in truly excellent condition with few signs of wear. Movement running at time of cataloging. Overall in very nice condition.
