Christoffel van Sichem jun. (1581 Basel - 1658 Amsterdam) after Abraham Bloemaert (1566 Dordrecht - 1651 Utrecht): "Sanctus Paulus Simplex", Paul of Thebes, Egyptian hermit, 1644, Woodcut

Size: Paper: 15,5 cm x 10,5 cm (6,1 x 4,1 in), Depiction: 13,0 cm x 8,6 cm (5,1 x 3,4 in)
Description: Depicted is Paul of Thebes (* allegedly 228; † allegedly 341), Christian saint and, according to legend, first Egyptian hermit and desert father, therefore also called Saint Paul the First Hermit. Titled "Sanctus Paulus Simplex" under the depiction, on the cross with monogram: CvS. Inscribed on the backing by another hand with information on Ch.v. Sichem: "Th-B vol. XXX, p. 585. ..Perhaps from Jan van Gorcum 't. Bosch der eremyten ende eremitinnen" Amsterdan 1644, (that is 50 representations of saints)".

If the total of your purchases including buyer's premium exceeds 1,000 EUR, we recommend shipping your purchases by DHL Express. We will be happy to calculate the shipping costs according to your shipping location.
For objects sized up to 30 x 20 x 5 cm (object size, including frame if applicable) and with a hammer price below 60 Euro, there is also a possibility to ship your purchase for 17 Euro with Deutsche Post Warenpost International. All your purchases are sent with DHL business customer mail (except small items outside the EU (see above) who are shipped with Deutsche Post Warenpost International). If a parcel requires a different transport service due to unusual size, we will coordinate this with you beforehand.-Shipping processing and duration
Once we receive your payment, we will process and ship your purchase within one business day. Delivery then usually takes another 1 to 3 working days within Germany. For deliveries within the EU, please calculate 5 to 8 working days. Delivery outside the EU can take 10 to 20 working days.
In the case of payment in advance, the period for delivery shall commence on the day after the payment order is issued to the remitting bank or, in the case of other forms of payment, on the day after the conclusion of the contract and shall end with the expiry of the last day of the period. If the last day of the period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a general holiday recognized by the state at the place of delivery, the next working day shall take the place of such day.
