Description: The figure is an engraving by Gilles Rousselet (Paris 1614-1686 Paris), the background was etched by Abraham Bosse (Tours 1602/1604-1676 Paris); after: Claude Vignon (Tours 1593-1670 Paris). Publisher: Pierre Mariette (1596-1657). Inscribed below the image: "Vignon Inu", "Rousselet fecit", and "de l'impression de Mariette Auec Priuilegie 9"; with French verses in two columns: 'enfin on forcera le sportes des enfers... sa main brisera tous les fers'; stamped on verso: Grossh. Museum zu Schwerin.
The Libyan Sibyl is depicted with a broken chain and laurel branch, in the left background Christ appears to some women with angels. The Libyan Sibyl is one of the ten sibyls distinguished by Lactance according to Varro, a Roman historian of the 1st century BC, each with a geographical epithet. The most famous pictorial representation is probably Michelangelo's Libica in the fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

All your purchases are sent with DHL business customer mail (except small items outside the EU (see above) who are shipped with Deutsche Post Warenpost International). If a parcel requires a different transport service due to unusual size, we will coordinate this with you beforehand.-Shipping processing and duration
Once we receive your payment, we will process and ship your purchase within one business day. Delivery then usually takes another 1 to 3 working days within Germany. For deliveries within the EU, please calculate 5 to 8 working days. Delivery outside the EU can take 10 to 20 working days.
In the case of payment in advance, the period for delivery shall commence on the day after the payment order is issued to the remitting bank or, in the case of other forms of payment, on the day after the conclusion of the contract and shall end with the expiry of the last day of the period. If the last day of the period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a general holiday recognized by the state at the place of delivery, the next working day shall take the place of such day.
