The first edition of the Bible commentary by the Spanish Jesuit and theologian Benet Perera (also known as Pereyra, Benedict Pereira, or Benet Pererius; 1536–1610) is a folio measuring 9.5 by 13" (33x23 cm) with half parchment and cardboard boards. Although his main work, "De communibus omnium rerum naturalium principiis et affectionibus libri quindecim," is a philosophical treatise, this work stands out as being especially structured and less diffuse. - Title stamped and with manuscript ownership marks. - Very good condition, some wear. Text in Latin Benedetto Pereira, often spelled Perera or Pereyra, was a Jesuit-ordered Spanish philosopher, theologian, exegete, and physical linguist who lived from 1535 until 1610. He was an instructor at the Roman College in Rome.
