The Bobo people are an ethnic group with a population of just
over 100,000, who have lived in Burkina Faso for centuries.
Various Bobo masks are made out of leaves, fiber, and wood, and
each serves various purposes. Masks made out of wood, like the
one above, represent multiple spirits who protect the Bobo
people and are worn during ceremonies associated with
initiation, new crops, and funerals.
Once CITYarts has received payment in full, the buyer shall contact CITYarts to arrange shipping or pick-up. Shipping, handling, and insurance charges are the responsibility of the buyer. Buyers in the New York area can make arrangements to have works retrieved from the CITYarts offices or delivered when possible. Please contact email@example.com for all shipping arrangements.
