Auction Description

Crocker Art Museum - Silent Auction by Crocker Art Museum
For over 100 years, the Crocker Art Museum has served visitors to and residents of Sacramento, CA as the only accredited art museum in the region. In addition to featuring the world’s foremost display of California art and world-renowned holdings of European master drawing and international ceramics, we offer a diverse spectrum of exhibitions, events, and programs to over 270,000 visitors every year. We believe in the transformative power of art, and our activities are designed to engage, support, and inspire. The 2020 Art Auction is a festive celebration featuring dozens of original works by the region’s most renowned artists. Artists are invited to submit their best pieces for consideration months in advance, and the artworks are reviewed and selected by a committee led by the Crocker’s Mort and Marcy Friedman Director and CEO, Lial A. Jones and Associate Director and Chief Curator, Scott A. Shields. This annual event attracts art patrons, community leaders, and philanthropists from throughout the region to support artists and acquire great works of art, many of which are created by artists in the Museum’s permanent collection. This year's Silent Auction features 90 artworks. Bidding begins on June 19 and will close one artwork every minute beginning at 7 PM PST on July 18. Support raised from this year’s Art Auction is critical for the Crocker and for the thousands of children, families, and adults the Museum serves every year. Your generous support is needed now more than ever, so remember to bid high and bid often! Read more
