After Henri Matisse (French, 1869-1954): Reclining Nude. A limited edition etching on paper signed Henri Matisse. Numbered 37 of 60 lower left. Hand signed lower right, Henri Matisse. The artwork depicts a reclining nude girl against the backdrop of an oriental interior. Matted and framed. Henri Matisse, 1869 to 1954, was a French artist known for both his use of color and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. Matisse is commonly regarded as one of the artists who best helped to define the revolutionary developments in the visual arts throughout the opening decades of the twentieth century, responsible for significant developments in painting and sculpture. Collectible French Graphic Art Prints and Portraiture.
Frame 12 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. Image 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate.
