- Lot Description
Nicolas de Stael (1914-1955) Attributed:Composition c. 1951oil on heavy canvas, signed 'Stael' (lower right), installed in a newer floater frame.
24 x 31.25 inch canvas; 32.75 x 25.25 inch outer frame.
Private estate.
Overall good condition. The paintings edges show warpage of the original stretcher. The canvas is mounted to a new stretsher. There are some very small paint losses, and some minor age cracks in a few of the areas of thicker paint. There are some pressure indications around the inner stretcher area.
