- Lot Description
c. 1850, constructed in two parts, the upper part with a pair of doors inset with original mirror glass, the interior lined with later blue paper and fitted with three later glass shelves, the lower part with a hinged slant front enclosing drawers and pigeonholes, over three full-width drawers, with two keys, overall: 96 1/2 x 43 1/2 x 20 1/4 in.
Condition
Shrinkage cracks, marks, nicks, and losses to paint and timber commensurate with age and use. Areas of insect holes to rear and sides. Wear to feet. A newer wooden 2 x 4 plank nailed to rear to attach the two sections. Drawers function. Lock on slant front functions. The mirror plates with spotting and minor silvering loss comensurate with age.
