American, 20th century. A group of two oblong sterling Silver & Vertu dishes comprising a small oval bowl by Tiffany & Co. (American (New York), founded 1837), circa 1907-1947) with band of rectilinear piercings to the wide rim, marked to underside "TIFFANY & CO / 17019 MAKERS 8147 / 925-1000 / M" the letter M indicating production under the directorship of John C. Moore II' and a larger oval console bowl or dish by Gorham (American (Rhode Island), founded 1831) with narrow well at base surmounted wide walls wider at the narrow ends, marked to underside "GORHAM" over maker's mark over "STERLING / 4463". Tiffany dish approximately 6.875" x 4.625". Gorham dish approximately 11.75" x 6.125". Total approximate weight 10.7 troy ounces.
