German, late 19th century. 2 pieces of German Volkstedt style porcelain comprising a dresser or trinket box and with a handled covered sugar. Both decorated with vivid colors and raised figural motif. The shaped box with scene depicting a seated beauty and her attendants attendants; marked to the underside in blue underglaze. The handled sugar with berried finial, overall decorated with mythological scenes of playful putti, maidens, and other figures amidst landscape; marked in blue underglaze 'Germany' and the five prong crown over N. Box height 2", width 5.5", depth 3.25". Sugar height 5', width 5", depth 3.75".
