Phil Rogers (British (Welsh), b. 1951-). Group of five pieces of studio ceramics or pottery comprising of a paneled bottle vase; a lidded bowl with arched handle; a lidded jar with dotted and vertical brushy linear decoration; a lidded paneled jar or box and a diminutive lidded pot. All with potter's stamped mark on foot. Vase approximate height 10". Smallest lidded jar approximate height 2.8". Provenance (vase, jar and jar): The Craftsmen Potters Association of Great Britain, London, whereby acquired by the Estate of Mr. Joseph Gilbert of Atlanta, Georgia on 10/21/93. Note: Rogers' ceramic work is in over 40 museums worldwide including the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Ceramics in Mashiko.
All pieces in overall very good condition. No damage or restoration noted.
