A collection of six engravings, 3 hand colored and 3 uncolored, from volume 2 of "Illustrations of British Ornithology, Water Birds", first edition, published in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1833. Collection comprising of "Rail (Plate XXIX, hand colored)", "Golden Eye Duck, Male and Female (Plate LXII, hand colored)", "Widgeon, Male and Female (Plate LII, hand colored)", "Common Dottrel, Male Summer Plumage, Female Winter (Plate XXXIX, uncolored)", "Little Gull, Old Winter Plumage and LIttle Gull, Young (Plate XCII, uncolored)", and "Little Egret Heron (Plate V, uncolored). Plates XXIX and LXII inscribed "R. Mitford" within plate, plates LIC, XXXIX, and XCII inscribed "J. Selby" within plate. Sheet size of each approximately 25" x 20" aside from "Golden Eye Duck" which is approximately 21" x 29.75".
