A superb Classical mahogany sideboard, with secondaries of cherry, walnut and poplar, having an architectonic form with a highly carved and centered basket of overflowing fruit and foliage between a triangular shaped backsplash above a drop center section flanked to each side by polygonal platforms, each concealing a drawer above the case with three aligned bolection molded drawers over three central graduating bowed front drawers flanked to each side by a paneled cupboard door and Ionic columns supported by front bulbous leaf and gadrooned legs terminating on bun feet. The backside of case with two matching labels - one to each side "FROM J.B. MERRILL & SON/ House Furnishers - Funeral Directors/ Albion, N.Y./ TO Lombard Iron Works & Supply Co./ Augusta, Ga." Approximate height 60.5", width 74.5", depth 23.25".
