Chinese, 20th century. A brown Yixing Zisha teapot of squat round form with downturned spout opposite c form handle with frontal decoration of an applied yellow clay medallion bearing the profile of a man, possibly an imperial portrait, surrounded by three calligraphic marks, the opposite side with a line of calligraphic marks on tondo. Marked to underside of lid with impressed calligraphic marks and to underside of pot with four impressed calligraphic marks atop a second line of text. Approximately 3" tall, 6" spout to handle.
