Chinese, likely early 20th century. Carved celadon jade figural sculpture of oblong form in the form of a child with rounded face and body lying on their stomach beside leaves, body resembling the form of a prunus fruit. Unsigned. Overall supported on a black lacquered wood stand. Jade measures approximately 1.7" x 2.4".
Small minor neck to edge on bottom (not visible when on stand, not distracting). Adhesive residue on bottom from museum putty joining carving to stand. Slight darkening from dirt in carved crevices. No further missing elements, damage, or repairs.
