Chinese, 19th century. Carved, polychrome and parcel gilt wooden figural sculpture of a seated man in ornate robes with flying feathered bird above ocean waves in circular medallions throughout. Figure may be a depiction of an Earth God--Tu Di Gong. Male figure seated in a throne and wearing hat and holding a ruyi scepter in one hand, and a three tiered object in the other. Throne raised on a rectangular plinth base. Scattered remnants of polychrome and gilt throughout. Four characters on back side. Approximate height 12.125", width 6.75", depth 6".
