American, 19th century. Chippendale carved mahogany wood wall mirror with thinly shaped frame with pierced elements of flared foliates throughout, center with carved gilt wood eagle perched on tree branch, sides with gilt trailing leaves surrounding vertical aligned looking glass. Overall measures approximately 24" x 48.5".
Repairs to eagle finial (see image 2). Scattered repairs & minute fleabites to scrolled foliates on sides (see image 3), however, not distracting. Scattered areas of wear, commensurate with age. Mirror plate has possibly been replaced.
