Late 19th century. Group of six collectible cast iron banks comprising of a J&E Stevens (Cromwill, Conn.) "Junior Cash" register bank with silvered patina throughout form ornamented with scrolled foliates and lattice cross work, a green U.S. Mail box form bank with pierced circular holes on back, iron two-story house motif bank with pierced windows, a painted iron "Hall's Excelsior Bank" architectural motif bank with flip cupola finial on hinged top with hidden figure within, a red painted iron U.S. Mail letterbox form bank, and a pierced iron safe bank of rectangular form with scrolled foliates throughout, marked on bottom with "PAT. JUNE 2, 1896". The largest bank (Hall's Excelsior Bank) approximate height 5.25", width 4", depth 4.25". The smallest bank (house motif) approximate height 3.125", width 2.6", depth 2.25".
