Continental School (likely French), 19th century. "Putti with Grape Vines", partial gilt bronze, inscribed on verso "James Collomb, To his friend Thomas Carter. May 1835.". Figural sculpture depicting two bacchanalian putti (one with wings), both seated on large rock with grape vines and lush, heavy grapes throughout, with tambourine embedded among the vines; the winged putti sits with both palms lifted towards his face as his counterpart embraces him. Overall approximately 13.5" 13.5" x 5.5".
