Note: In the late 1940s and early 1950s Peterdi taught at The Brooklyn Museum, Hunter College and Yale University School of Art at Norfolk. It was during this period that Peterdi was exposed to the Abstract Expressionists, whose work had a profound effect on Peterdi's gestural style and imagery.
