Indonesia, early 20th century. Group of three polychrome decorated carved wood figural panels comprising a two pierced and carved processional panels, one depicting a wedding processional with figures carrying drums, parasols, flags and gifts, the seated bride and groom each carried over head (approximate height 15.5", width 78", depth 1.5"); the other pierced panel a processional with figures carrying parasols, flags, drums and gifts (approximate height 15", width 76", depth 1.5"); the third carved enclosed panel depicting wedding processional relief carved with the bride riding on an elephant and the groom on horseback, the smiling figures carrying parasols, drums, flags and gifts (approximate height 13.6", width 74.75", depth 1.5"). Each panel with traces of parcel gilt and pigments of white, red, black and green.
