Continental, 19th century. A pair of fine mirrored neoclassical parcel gilt bronze and iron figural wall sconces, each depicting a mythical harpy, a crowned woman with bare breast, bulbous belly, eagle's wings and feet, issuing from her hands a scrolling acanthine arm surmounted by round drip pan with underside bearing molded relief decoration and the upper side bearing iron leaf tip candle cups, the harpy resting her clawed feet on a ball form surmounting an outswept scroll, and her back mounted by acanthus leaf scroll to leaf tip scalloped form back plate. Approximate height 25.25", width 5.875", depth 13.5".
