Chinese, possibly Ming Dynasty. A pair of diminutive lidded porcelain jars with hand painted green and blue underglaze decoration on white ground with floral and foliate patterning on tondo to wide shoulder over narrow ankle, the round lid with graduated height and round finial. Unmarked. Approximately 6.875" tall.
Provenance: The consignor's mother began collecting Chinese antiquities back in the 1960's. The majority of her collection was acquired from her great paternal grandparents who were from the China city of Guangzhou, in the province of Guangdong.
