A rare set of eight Irish George II yew wood side chairs

A dark honey color to the highly figured timber. Structurally sound. Very solid. Variation to decoration overall. In overall good, restored condition. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear overall Wear to feet. Visible old woodworm and areas of infilled cracks and knots. With replacements and repairs overall. One with crestrail restored in three places. Splat, shoe and right upright also repaired. Another chair with extensive repairs to splat including a triangular patch. Repair to right upright. Left side of seatrail rebuilt and left back leg replaced. Third with repair to front right corner of seatrail. Rear right foot lacking toes. Fourth with patched repairs to splat and replacements to sheos. Rear right foot mostly lacking. Fifth chair with tightening to frame. Sixth chair with repairs to splat. Seventh chair with repairs to splat. Right front foot tipped. Eight chair with repairs to crestrail, shapt and shoes. Back legs spliced. Loss to front left foot.
